Film Scoring & Sound Design Classes

Service Description

This six week class teaches students how to compose cinematic music that evokes emotion using Hollywood style film scoring techniques. Students will develop a score concept, learn how to work with virtual instruments, and compose original music for two animated films. The class also introduces sound design, including textures, impacts, and effects that add dramatic energy and support the visuals. Each student will bring a personal laptop to install the DAW software, and a MIDI keyboard will be provided for in class use. By the end of the workshop, students will complete a finished version of an animated film with their own original score. This course is open to Apple/Mac Users. The software used is not compatible with Windows.
